The climate in Torrevieja is generally very pleasant, with an average annual temperature of 17C, though temperatures can rise to well in the 30s in the summer months. Though it is one of the hotter months, August is very popular with those booking holidays in Torrevieja. June is a better option but you suffer a bit in the heat.

The city is famous for its many fiestas, the biggest being the Habernas Festival that takes place in August. The city is alive with music and culture for the duration of the festival, making August an exciting time to visit.
