Best Time to be on Tenerife Holidays
It is not without good reason that Tenerife is often referred to as Island of Eternal Spring. The difference between summer and winter temperatures is among the lowest in the world. The refreshing trade winds and the cold Canarias stream ensure that the island never gets too hot. There is no single rainy season, which is why Tenerife receives visitors throughout the year.
Regional Weather
The north of the island is colder and somewhat wetter than the south. In the mountainous areas it actually snows in winter, but an hour from there, you will find people sunbathing on the beaches. The south of the island is drier and warmer, with many beach resorts.
Weather Statistics
There is no ‘best’ time to visit Tenerife. It seldom rains more than 10mm in any specific month. Average summer temperatures reach 25°C in July and August and average winter temperatures are around 18°C in January and February.
