Stalis is situated in the east of Crete, approximately 25 kilometres from the airport at Heraklion. Stalis lies close to the busier resorts of Hersonissos and Malia, so visitors can enjoy a quieter holiday but still have the fun and partying of the other two resorts. Stalis has a wide array of bars and cafes dotted along the beach so that there is still lots going on, just at a slower pace. There are lots of restaurants and tavernas to choose from, souvenir shops, mini markets and several ATMs. Visitors who want to explore further afield can book day trips at the travel agencies or hire a car or scooter. There is regular bus service from Stalis to the major towns and resorts along the north coast and to Heraklion.

Hotels on the Seafront and above Stalis
There are different accommodation options on offer for Stalis holidays. For visitors who want to be in the centre of things there are hotels and apartments along the seafront. For a breathtaking view and a little quieter surrounding, pick a hotel on the hillside. It’s only about a kilometre walk to the beach. The organised beach is sandy and the gradually declining shelf is safe for young children.
