St Paul's Bay at a glance
St Paul’s Bay is the biggest resort on the north coast of Malta, and has gradually sprawled to combine with the nearby formerly separate resorts of Qawra and Bugibba. The whole bay now stretches for five kilometres and incorporates a number of good, if rocky, beaches, as well as some of the best views on the entire island. Its reputation is such that it has now become the most popular of Malta’s resorts during the summer season.
A Myriad of Oppurtunities
With holidays in St Paul’s Bay, visitors will find a great variety of amenities and attractions within the one large resort. St Paul’s bay has spread across the local area to absorb Bugibba, Qawra, the Old Town and XemXija, and each of these has retained its own distinctive character. The Old Town is the most picturesque part and contains traditional buildings and shops, and there are fine views from all quarters across the bay and neighbouring islands.
Family Holidays
There are plenty of places to sunbathe along the flat and rocky shore, and also a small, sandy beach at the head of the bay. Snorkelling and swimming are popular in the three tiny harbours, and there is a range of water sports to enjoy. Visitors can catch a regular bus to Mellieha Bay for the closest sandy beach. The Bugibba quarter has a cinema and bingo hall and is the best part of the resort for nightlife.
Dining
St Paul’s Bay has a huge variety of restaurants and smaller family-run establishments, and visitors can find everything from fast food to more traditional dishes. On holidays in St Paul’s Bay, the best restaurants are in the Old Town area.
