If you are looking for a more remote place in which to holiday, Son Parc on the island of Menorca, Spain, may be what you are looking for. It is not far from the main airport, but the road to the resort is not easy to navigate. It may take as long as half to three quarters of an hour to reach the resort once you leave the airport. Son Parc is located on the Northwest coast of Menorca. Once you arrive you will find a lovely beach area with shallow water, nice and warm and perfect for those who bring their small children with them on Son Parc holidays. The summers are perfect, while the winters here are windy and cold, prompting the resort to close to tourism throughout those winter months.

Travellers’ Tips
The road from the airport is easy enough to follow, but be sure you have a current map that lists the new names of the highways, as they were recently changed by the government. The roadway is a bit rough too. So, many people prefer to take a taxi from the airport. You can request a special taxi pickup which will include car seats for the youngsters, if you need them.

Accommodation Choices
Numerous choices can be had as far as accommodation goes on Son Parc. Many private villas and apartments are available for let during the tourism season, or you can stay in one of the resort hotels. You can choose the accommodation that works best for you and your family. If you choose a self catered villa or apartment, there are places in which to buy food for cooking and other personal needs, but if you don’t have a hired car to travel to a larger town, the prices may be a bit high and the choices limited.
