Sharm El Sheikh is situated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. It started as a small fishing village, but has since developed into one of Egypt’s most popular and best-developed beach resorts.

The Ras Mohamed Marine National Park, just southwest of Sharm El Sheikh, is widely considered one of the best diving areas in the world. The Strait separates the east coast of Sinai from the Tiran Island and there are beautiful coral reefs in the middle of the channel.
