The famous Pike Place Market is located at the bottom of the main street, and it is easy to lose yourself here for a whole morning or afternoon. If you are tempted by the fresh fish, your purchase can even be packed in dry ice for your journey home! Then take your time to wander through the rest of the indoor market and shop for souvenirs. Here you will find stalls selling gifts such as handmade clothes and jewellery, and captivating street performers. The beautiful fresh flowers are very reasonably priced, and the chocolate covered whole cherries are to die for. Be prepared for large crowds if you are visiting on a weekend or during the summer.
