Santo Tomas holidays are perfect for those that are interested in a truly island experience. Santo Tomas is on the coast of Menorca just outside of Son Bou and Cala Galdana, both resort towns on the central coast. The town consists of one main street, and all local commerce is to be found there. It is a tiny town with just 59 residents in the off tourism season. There are two supermarkets in the town which are open during the main tourism season, and several restaurants in the nearby hotels and resorts.

Traveller’s Tips
Driving to Santo Tomas from the airport is not difficult, but you must remember to stay on the correct side of the road. Have a good map handy that lists the new names of the roads as many were renamed recently by the government. If you prefer to travel by bus, be aware that bus schedules can differ from the published scheduling. Taxis are numerous at the airport and can be easily found. You will need to call ahead, though, if you have a small child that you would like to travel in a car seat.

Accommodation Choices
The favourite hotel of UK citizens here is the Hotel Victoria Playa. It is a modern and well equipped resort with accommodation for people of all ages. Families with children are more than welcome here, and there are numerous areas in which to play and be entertained. Apartments can also be rented if your family would be more comfortable with all the conveniences of home. Some visitors prefer to cook on their own and have their privacy instead of staying in the resort hotel itself.
