The town of Ronda is split into two, the old city, known as La Ciudad, and the newer areas and suburbs. These areas are divided by the stunning El Tajo Canyon, over which can be found the New Bridge. Dating back to 1751, this beautiful bridge took 42 years to build, and remains one of the most dramatic sights in Ronda. The old city is particularly beautiful – its narrow, cobbled streets and Moorish architecture displaying an elegant charm for those on holiday in Ronda.
