Rhodes is in Greece and is located in the Dodecanese group of islands. It is a very popular tourist destination due to its wonderful climate. Choosing holidays in Rhodes is perfect for everyone. You never have to worry that the island won’t be to your taste as there is such a diverse range of resorts that you can’t go wrong. Faliraki is well known for being a party town with revellers in the street at all hours. The resort is often in the news and is most definitely not for those who are looking for a peaceful getaway. The southern resort of Lindos is perhaps the most photographed of all of the Rhodes resorts. It is a beautiful place to stay or even take a day trip to if you are staying elsewhere. Rhodes Town has everything. The town is split into two parts – the old town and the new town. The old town is full of quaint cobbled streets and stone buildings. There are plenty of cafes and tavernas to relax in and many souvenir and gift shops to browse around and maybe grab a bargain while on Rhodes holidays.

Enjoy History
Rhodes was the home of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Colossus of Rhodes was said to have straddled the harbour to welcome home ships and visitors to the island. Where he is thought to have stood is now marked by deer statues. The fortified castle overlooking Rhodes harbour is a good place to pass some time while on holidays in Rhodes, and you can still see the ancient cannon balls in the area where the moat once was.
