Retamar is a stretch of coastline in the Almeria region and province of southeast Spain, and is itself divided into about twenty resorts in all. The reason for the popularity of Retamar with foreign and Spanish tourists alike is the splendid beach, which is over 15 kilometres long and ends in the famous Cabo de Gata Natural Park. The resorts all have their own beach fronts, sports facilities, saunas, trails and green areas, so there’s something for everyone in this multifarious environment. Retamar guarantees you hot sunshine, fine beaches and plenty of things to do.

Fun-Packed Retamar Holidays Suit All Tastes
The Retamar area is well thought out, with the stretch of coast here divided into two zones by a main road. The southern zone faces the sea and consists largely of apartments and duplexes for enjoying the beach life, whilst the northern zone has many gardens and parks, and chalets with their own swimming pools. The northern zone is largely residential but there are villas to rent here for those on self catering vacations. There is a wide range of sporting and beach-based activities for all ages in both zones but especially the beach-fronting southern one, and holidays in Retamar will mostly be spent here.
