The area is a beautiful holiday resort, with popular nightlife and is seen as somewhat of a party area, yet one that remains an upmarket location during the day. During the day, the Playa del Ingles has beaches to visit as well as shops, bars and restaurants, which are all easy to find along the boulevards in the area. In the evening, the Yumbo Centrum contains discos and nightclubs to enjoy and a fantastic nightlife that means you can go for a quiet drink or stay out partying until dawn. Maspalomas is somewhat quieter and is dominated by the sandy beaches and spectacular sand dunes which have a fair amount of flora and fauna found within. Meloneras is a fairly new top class tourist spot and almost an extension of Maspolomas. It is a little more upmarket than the previously mentioned locations with first class boutiques, fantastic 4 and 5 star hotels and evening entertainment. As it is not too far from Maspalomas, a quick taxi ride will get you there or to the Playa del Ingles, should you desire to go there.
