Fuerteventura is a stunning island set amongst the gorgeous Canary Islands and is a popular tourist destination for those that enjoy warm beaches set in a beautiful location. Antigua is further inland than most of the other resorts mentioned, so despite not having the beaches close by that the other resorts do, it does contain some pretty attractions for tourists, including a historical church and a restored windmill with a cacti garden. Corralejo, on the other hand, holds its main attraction in its blindingly white sandy beaches. The beaches are protected as a nature park and as such contain an abundance of untouched beauty. Correlejo really is a great place for Fuerteventura holidays with its great braches, restaurants, and shops set in stunning surroundings. It also offers a taste of Spanish culture with the fishing village near the harbour and narrow streets. However, if you want even more Spanish culture and fewer tourist traps in a coastal location, El Cotillo is for you. The old fishing village is crammed with character, with imaginative architecture, a castle, stunning views of the beaches from the lookout point and even some French art sculptures. El Cotillo is one of the more untouched natural beauties and perfect for a more traditional holiday. The capital of Fuerteventura is Puerto Del Rosario, and whilst not a main spot for tourists, plans are set to make it more tourist friendly. A modern port town, it is home to some nice bars, shops and restaurants and dotted about the capital are more than 100 sculptures from both local and international artists.
