Costa Del Sol Holidays

Things to do

A Costa del Sol holiday offers a number of excursions and locations for tourists to visit. Just 2 kilometres away from the town of Fuengirola is the Tivoli World Amusement Park. Reached easily by bus or train, the biggest amusement park on the Costa del Sol offers rides and shows such as the Wild West show as well as a section aimed at children in the area of the park known as Tivolandia. Right next to Tivoli World is the cable car that gives you views over the stunning Costa del Sol. The cars seat four people and run for 15 minutes. Included in this area is a cafe as well as donkey rides and Spanish horse riding exhibitions. Another place to visit in Torremolinos as part of a fabulous holiday in the Costa del Sol is El Ranchito, which offers an equestrian show and a Flamenco show every Wednesday as well as dinner. Feungirola also offers a zoo open all year from 10:00 in the morning.

Recreation
In Torremolinos, a place everyone should visit during a Costa del Sol holiday is the Aqualand aqua park. Just ten minutes from the Torremolinos coastal resort, you can get there by bus or train. The huge park covers 70,000 square metres with a number of exciting new rides and an area for small children with wave pools. It also offers restaurants throughout the park and an 18-hole mini golf course, perfect for families and couples to enjoy. Torremolinos also has a crocodile park right next to Aqualand open all year long.

Water Activities
There are two other water-based activities to enjoy on a Costa del Sol holiday. The first of these is situated in Benalmadena and is called the Benalmadena Sea Life Aquarium. This is located right next to the Benalmadena marina and has a sea snake enclosure, a tank filled with rays and a shark reef for some incredible sights of rare sea animals. Sea Life Aquarium promotes awareness of the world’s oceans and as such does not have animals that would not be content in this environment like dolphins or whales. Visitors of the park have the opportunity to feed the animals throughout the day. If you do want to have fun with dolphins, the Selwo Marina offers a dolphinarium as well sea lions which you can watch from above on the walkways or a from a viewing area to watch the sea life underwater. There is an area to watch penguins and a tropical jungle area as well as a children’s playground.

Explore Nature
Selwo also offers a park with a mix of nature safari and an adventure park housing more than 2000 animals from all over the world. The park is accessible with overhead walkways as well as the opportunity to travel through the park in a 4x4 and see all the wildlife. Additionally, the park offers an aviary with 1000 different birds. Other things to do in the park include camel rides and archery, making this a must for a fabulous holiday.
