Aguadulce is a small beach resort town a few kilometres west of Almeria in Spain. The main holiday season is in the summer and the town is popular not only with foreign tourists mainly from northern Europe but also with Spanish visitors, especially in August. This area of Spain is the driest and hottest in Europe, and good weather can be relied upon in the summer months. Aguadulce has a beach that is a lot longer than it is wide and is fronted by a long promenade, with a harbour in the northeast part of the town.
